PB Serum is an injectable treatment made from a combination of active enzymes and hyaluronic acid. The enzymes in the formula are designed to target and break down specific types of unwanted tissue beneath the skin, such as excess localised fat, hardened or fibrous scar tissue, and disorganised collagen left behind by old scars. The hyaluronic acid in the formula activates the enzymes and supports the surrounding tissue during the process.
At Euphie, PB Serum is used to address localised fat deposits on the face and body, improve the appearance of scars and fibrosis, tighten skin, reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds, and address cellulite. It is commonly combined with other treatments for more comprehensive results.

PB Serum contains three enzymes, each with a different job:
Lipase breaks down fat cells in targeted localised areas. It works enzymatically, meaning it dissolves fat cells through a biological process without affecting the surrounding tissue or your body’s hormones. This is the main enzyme responsible for the slimming and contouring effect.
Collagenase breaks down disorganised or damaged collagen within the skin. In scar tissue, collagen is often laid down in an irregular pattern, which contributes to the appearance of depressed or uneven scars. Collagenase helps break down this abnormal collagen, creating a more suitable environment for new, well-organised collagen to form. It can also act on aged or denatured collagen in the skin, supporting the skin’s natural renewal process and overall tissue remodelling.
Lyase targets substances in the tissue that cause water retention and inflammation. By breaking these down, it helps reduce swelling, soften hardened scar tissue, and improve the flexibility and feel of the treated area.
The hyaluronic acid in the formula acts as a carrier that activates the enzymes and keeps the tissue hydrated throughout the process.
When injected, all three enzymes work together to break down the problematic tissue, trigger the body’s natural healing response, and gradually reshape and improve the treated area from within.
Localised fat deposits on the face, jowls, double chin, and body can be resistant to diet and exercise regardless of overall body composition. PB Serum delivers the lipase enzyme directly into the targeted area, shrinking the fat cells in a precise, controlled way without surgery or general anaesthesia. The body then naturally clears away the broken-down fat over the following weeks, gradually reducing the fullness in the treated zone and refining the overall contour. Results improve progressively over a course of sessions.
As the treated area undergoes enzymatic remodelling, the surrounding tissue reorganises and firms up. This tightening effect makes PB Serum particularly useful for patients who want to address areas of laxity alongside localised fullness. It is also used to soften the appearance of nasolabial folds by addressing the tissue volume and skin quality in that area, contributing to a smoother, more refreshed look over time.
Cellulite forms when fat cells push through the fibrous connective tissue beneath the skin, creating a dimpled or uneven surface texture. PB Serum addresses this through a combination of lipase to reduce the underlying fat volume and collagenase to break down the hard fibrous bands contributing to the dimpled appearance. Over a course of sessions, the surface texture becomes progressively smoother and more even.
Acne scars form when the inflammation from a breakout damages the collagen structure beneath the skin, leaving behind dips, textured patches, or firm, uneven marks. PB Serum targets this at the source by delivering the collagenase enzyme directly into the scar tissue, breaking down the abnormal collagen causing the depressed appearance. Once cleared, the skin triggers its own repair process and begins laying down new, better-organised collagen in its place. The depth and texture of the scar progressively improves over a course of sessions. PB Serum is particularly useful for scars that feel firm or tight beneath the surface due to fibrosis.
This is a question our doctors hear often, and it is worth explaining clearly because the two are not the same.
The most common fat dissolving injection uses deoxycholic acid, a synthetic bile acid that destroys fat cells by disrupting and breaking down their cell membranes. It is effective, but the mechanism is relatively aggressive. In the facial area especially, deoxycholic acid can cause significant swelling, discomfort, and a longer recovery period. There is also a risk of affecting the surrounding tissue if not placed with great precision, and it does not address the skin quality in the treated area.
PB Serum works differently. Its lipase enzyme dissolves fat through a gentler enzymatic process that is more selective about what it breaks down, targeting the fat cells without the same level of collateral inflammation in the surrounding tissue. This makes it better suited for facial fat, where the skin is thinner, more delicate, and where patients often have some degree of skin laxity that needs to be managed alongside the fat reduction.

The key differences in practice:
Your doctor at Euphie will advise which approach is most suitable based on your individual concern and anatomy.
Most patients find it manageable with numbing cream applied before the session. Some mild tenderness at the injection sites after treatment is normal and expected as the enzymes get to work in the tissue. This typically settles within a few days.
Results develop gradually. Most patients begin to notice visible improvement within 1 to 2 weeks of each session. For scar treatment, improvement continues over several weeks as new collagen forms. For fat reduction, changes become more visible over the following weeks as the body naturally clears away the broken-down fat cells.
Yes. For scar treatment, it is commonly used alongside Sylfirm X, Fotona Scar Revision Laser, or Fractional CO2 Laser for a more comprehensive approach. For face slimming, it can complement botulinum toxin jaw treatment or HIFU for enhanced contouring results. Your doctor will advise the most appropriate combination for your goals.
PB Serum is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area, have a known allergy to any of the product components, or are currently on blood-thinning medications. A thorough consultation with our doctors at Euphie will confirm your suitability before any treatment begins.
